Cape Zanpa diving- when visited from the surface- is a picturesque place in Okinawa. The colour of the surrounding waters, mixed with the view of the cliffs and reefs can hold its place at the front page of any travel magazine.
Zanpa is in Yomitan area and we highly recommend visiting the lighthouse, where you can find a small museum and can even go to the top for that perfect Instagram shot. If you arrive with a car, a big car park can be found next to the walking trails.

We offer our dives here from a boat only. Although some of the dive sites are accessible from the shore as well, climbing down on sharps rocks and changing currents with high swells could make it very challenging from the shore. So keep it KISS, we stick with boat dives.
Zanpa is for those, who just loves diving between interesting rock formations and who are always searching for that hidden swim throughs and deep water fish. Due to its location, surrounded by deep ocean, the variety of fish is amazing. Everything from Nemo to giant Tuna and Shark can be seen and as a unique addition at the dive site called Lion Rock, there is a remain of a WW2 tank sitting on the bottom at one of the dive sites and the lucky ones still can find some old bullets from that era.
Cape Zanpa is a beautiful and picturesque place, one of the best in Okinawa. Enjoy the view of the cliffs from the surface, and get to know an incredible reef system when diving underwater. If you’re staying in a hotel in the Yomitan area to experience the Zakimi Castle Ruins, Serra Nomori Park, or any of the other sites around Yomitan, you will absolutely enjoy scuba diving at Cape Zanpa with our boat dives. You can expect to see all kinds of fish and marine life at the luscious and beautiful reef in the area.

The meeting time is at 07:15 at Maeda Fishing harbour, where after the necessary paperwork we will set up our gear and head out for our journey.
Usually we stay on the boat for the first two dives, where tea and snack will be provided during the surface time and will return to the port around 12 o’clock
Do you have sea sickness? Then an over the counter medication from the local drugstore called Drugstore Mori is highly recommended. No one wants to feed the fish on their dive in the ocean.
Other than that, your average beach going toolkit will be perfect. Water, towel, sun cream and swimwear.
